Finalists Casey Cardinia Business Awards 2016 in Environmental Sustainability STRENGTHENING businesses through conversation was the theme on Thursday night when the Casey Cardinia Business award nominees were announced. Local painting and decorating company K & D Bak Painting and Decorating was announced as a finalist in the Environmental Sustainability category, for the second year in a row, at yesterday’s Casey Cardinia Business Awards 2016 Finalist function Recognised for their use of ecofriendly paints and painting methods but also their cleanup and disposal methods are carried out to reduce the impact on the environment, competition judges agreed that the initiative deserved celebration Director, David Bak expressed the rewarding feeling of being recognised in the business's initiatives in offering eco friendly alternatives and reducing the impact on the environment Founded in 2011, K & D Bak Painting and Decorating offers full painting and decorating services for both residential and commercial properties across the Casey Cardinia region. David decided to become an Enviropainter in mid 2012 as a way to differentiate the business and stand out amongst the competition. An Enviropainter ® is a registered member of the Master Painters Australia who has undertaken an accredited training course on 22002VIC Sustainable Painting Practices. An Enviropainter ® can advise on the latest products and painting practices; use reusable and renewable resources and materials and minimize paint waste and water use. Their working practices reduce the impact of the painting and decorating trade on the environment.
