Safety first in painting and decoratingWhen it comes to all painting and decorating works we do, the first priority is safety first. Working at heights can be dangerous and for most jobs that we do, using the correct weight bearing ladders on a stable surface is suitable to safely gain access to the surfaces that need to be prepared and painted From time to time however we do come across areas on a house where a ladder is not a safe option or will not efficiently reach the required area. Below are two examples of exterior painting and decorating jobs we have recently completed where a ladder will not reach and it is not safe to stand on a sloping tiled roof As a result scaffolding was installed to enable a safe work platform to stand on to enable the required surfaces to be prepared and painted Below is an example of a home we painted which had interior cathedral ceilings. Due to the high pitch of the roof a ladder was not a safe or effective means to paint the higher areas. Here we organised a portable scaffolding unit to be easily moved around the room to enable us to safely paint the surfaces in a time efficient way This is the same home which also had a large pitch in the staircase, making it a challenge to reach the higher areas of the walls and pitched ceilings safely Again scaffold was used to create a safe work platform to enable the surfaces to be prepared and painted We will also from time to time if access permits use elevated work platforms such as a scissor lift or boom lift as well
If you do have a house where there are some hard to get to areas, we will think of a solution to be able to paint these surfaces in a safe and cost effective way Call us on 0432 22 33 44 or send a message through our contact us page K & D Bak Painting and Decorating, residential and commercial painting and decorating services, covering Melbourne's East and South Eastern Suburbs, Mornington Peninsula, Dandenong Ranges, West Gippsland and the Yarra Valley
